Prior to CWRU

Was a three-year member of the Fenton High School cross country and track & field teams, serving as a captain during her senior year… Coached by Frank Kekstadt… Was an all-state athlete and placed second in the conference championship as a sophomore, junior, and senior in cross country… Was her team’s Most Valuable Performer all three years as well… Recorded career-best times of 17:24 in the three-mile run for cross country, and 5:21 in the 1,600m run and 11:40 in the 3,200m run during the track season… Named an Illinois Presidential Scholar… Was a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree for both cross country and track… Was in the top five percent of her graduating class.
