Saumil Jhaveri joined the Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis coaching staff as a volunteer assistant prior to the 2021 campaign. He has been instrumental in the program’s rise to national prominence during his time with the squad.

Jhaveri’s work with the team earned recognition in 2026, when he was named the ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year for his efforts.

During his six seasons with the team, Jhaveri has helped the squad win the NCAA Championship in 2023, reach the NCAA title match four times, and win the UAA title in 2023 and 2025. The team has an overall record of 157-33 over the past six seasons, good for an .826 winning percentage.

Jhaveri’s son Aris was a member of the CWRU squad from 2017 through 2021, while his other son, Xander, is a current member of the team. In addition, his daughter, Demi, played tennis at Valparaiso University and Fordham University, and is a current assistant coach at Fordham.
