Attended Sage Oak Charter School, where he did not compete in swimming...Competed for Irvine Novaquatics, where he was coached by Ken LaMont and John Mykkanen...Recorded career-best times of 4:34.66 in the 500 Free, 1:41.77 in the 200 Free, and 1:50.56 in the 200 Back.
