Brandon Staley

Brandon Staley was named the Assistant Coach of the Case Western Reserve University men's basketball team in October of 2024.

In his first season with the team in 2024-25, he helped lead the team to nine wins and mentored guard Sam Trunley to the most prolific individual offensive season in program history. CWRU received the NABC Team Academic honor while nine individuals were selected to the NABC Honors Court under Staley's leadership.

Staley cames to CWRU after serving as the assistant coach at Alma College for the past two seasons. His efforts helped the Scots nearly double their win total from his first year to his second and qualify for the MIAA Tournament. Staley was previously the Assistant Coach at Washington and Jefferson College from 2019-22, guiding the team to a 24-5 record in 2021-22, the winningest season in program history, and its first conference title since 1994. Staley helped coach the team to a top ten statistical ranking in the nation for forced turnovers and 11th for scoring offense.


From 2014-19, Staley was the assistant coach at Trinity Christian School and the head coach for the junior varsity team. While assisting varsity, the team made two West Virginia State Tournament Final Four Appearances. Staley has also been the director and head coach for the Morgantown Assault and WV Gold Boys Basketball AAU teams since 2013.


Staley is a 2019 graduate of West Virginia University where he received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
