Prior to CWRU: Was a four-year member of the Cleveland Heights High School football team, serving as a captain during his junior and senior seasons... Coached by Mac Stephens... Helped lead his team to a conference championship all four years of his career... Was a three-time all-conference honoree and a two-time all-district honoree... Competed in the GCFCA All-Star Game as a senior... Was in the National Honor Society and ranked ninth in his high school class... Also played volleyball.
