Prior to CWRU: Was a four-year member of the Shady Side Academy football team, serving as a captain during his junior and senior seasons... Coached by Chuck DiNardo... Helped his team to the WPIAL Semifinals as a senior... Was a two-time all-conference second team honoree... Finished with over 2,000 all-purpose yards and 15 touchdowns, while adding three interceptions on defense... Graduated cum laude... Winner of the John Baglier Scholarship... Won his high school's award for four years of excellence in the pursuit of science... Also played basketball.
