Biography

Career: Two-time All-UAA…four-time UAA Offensive Player of the Week…two-time UAA All-Academic…in three seasons, completed 398-of-668 passes for 4,429 yards and 36 touchdowns…ranked fourth in program history in completions, passing yards and passing TDs….also punted 109 times for 3,973 yards (36.4 per punt)…tied school record with a 77-yard punt.

2013: Played in all nine games with six starts at quarterback as a redshirt senior…named to All-UAA Second Team and UAA All-Academic Team…completed 107-of-168 (63.7%) passes for 1,132 yards and 11 TDs…led the UAA in passing efficiency (138.3)…named UAA Offensive Player of the Week on October 21 after completing a career-high 27 passes for 209 yards and a TD in win at Puget Sound…threw a career-long 79-yard TD pass in victory at Carnegie Mellon on November 16…also handled the punting duties and ranked second in the UAA at 37.8 yards per punt…downed eight punts inside the 20 and tied a school record with a 77-yard punt at Frostburg St. on September 21.

2012: Played in all 10 games with seven starts at quarterback…completed 137 passes on 243 attempts with 1,726 yards and 14 touchdowns…also rushed for two scores…recorded a career-high 277 yards passing at Hiram September 8…threw a career-high three touchdowns in a game twice…season-high 24 completions and 37 attempts at Ohio Wesleyan on September 22…season-long 54-yard pass versus Frostburg State on September 15…also averaged 31 yards on 15 punts with a long of 43 yards. 

2011: Started all 10 games at quarterback and punter in first season after transferring…named second-team All-UAA…completed 154-of-257 passes (59.9%) for 1,571 yards and 11 touchdowns…finished second in the UAA in passing yards and touchdowns…also recorded a pair of rushing touchdowns…named UAA Offensive Player of the Week for three consecutive dates on September 26, October 3 and October 10…punted 47 times for 1,729 yards (36.8 yards per punt)…posted season highs of 23 completions and 228 yards passing at Allegheny on October 1…career-long 62-yard TD run on a fake punt at Denison on September 24…threw two touchdowns in a game four times.

Personal: Transfer via Division II California University of Pennsylvania…three-year letterman and two-time captain at Bethel Park High School…two-time first-team All-Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League selection…two-time first-team all-region and all-area…named to Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 Team as a junior and a senior…also an ESPN Athlete of the Week as a senior…team won one WPIAL Championship, two sectional championships and two region crowns…finished runner-up in the state and ranked 11th in the country after a 15-0 start…member of the National Honor Society…son of Barry and Cindy Olson.
