Michael Amadio joined the CWRU coaching staff as a student assistant on the defensive side of the ball before the start of the 2022 season and currently serves as an Assistant Coach, working primarily with the inside linebackers.

In his two seasons with the team, Amadio has helped the Spartans go 13-7 overall. He helped the 2023 defensive unit record one of the best seasons in program history, as the group notched three shutouts and held opponents to 13.5 points (12th in DIII) and 258.1 yards (22nd in DIII) per game.

Amadio is well familiar with the position he oversees after a standout career as an inside linebacker for the Spartans. He played in 34 games over his career and finished with 132 total tackles, including 1.5 sacks, eight tackles for a loss, and one interception. He served as a team captain during his senior year in 2021, recording 51 tackles over his nine games.

Amadio received his bachelor's degree in political science from CWRU in 2022 and is currently attending law school at the university.
