Drew Saxton, one of the most accomplished quarterbacks to ever don a Case Western Reserve University uniform, returned to the team as the Assistant Coach for Quarterbacks entering the 2023 season.

In his first season as an assistant coach, Saxton helped Alex Fromberg earn an honorable mention to the All-PAC team during his first campaign as the team's starting quarterback. Under Saxton's mentorship, Fromberg set the program record for career quarterback rating.

Saxton joined the coaching staff after playing professionally following his Spartan career. Saxton joined the Hamburg Pioneers of Germany's Regional Liga Nord during the Summer of 2023.

Saxton graduated as the only player in program history to be named to the All-PAC First Team four times over a career. He set program records for career passing touchdowns (96), yards (10,844), completions (868), and attempts (1,393), and finished his career second among active Division III players in career touchdowns thrown, completions, and passing yards.

Saxton, originally from South Fayette, Pennsylvania, graduated from CWRU in the Spring of 2023 with a degree in Exercise Science.
