Prior to CWRU

Was a four-year member of the Jacobs High School baseball team, serving as a team captain during his senior year… Coached by Jamie Murray… Helped lead his team to the regional championship in 2022 and 2023… Recipient of the Distinguished Athlete Award and the Passion, Enthusiasm, Toughness Award… Was the inaugural recipient of the “Mark Takasaki Award,” recognizing outstanding communication… Also received the Illinois Principals’ Association Leadership Award and the Gold Rush Spirit and Sportsmanship Award… Earned Academic All-Conference honors and graduated summa cum laude… Was an AP Scholar and a member of the National Honor Society… Also played basketball in high school.

Born February 7… The son of Tom and Laura... His father wrestled at Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1990-92.
