Senior (2023): Appeared in 13 games out of the bullpen, going 3-0 with a 3.29 ERA… Struck out 13 batters and walked just five during his 13.2 innings on the mound… Held opponents to a .196 batting average (the 14th-lowest in CWRU history), including a .174 average with the bases empty… Did not allow a run in 10 of his 13 appearances and did not allow more than two runs in any appearance during the year… Opened his season with back-to-back three strikeout performances over 2.1 scoreless innings each against Chicago and 15th-ranked Marietta… Also pitched two scoreless innings against Marietta during the NCAA Tournament… Received UAA Spring All-Academic recognition… Finished his senior year with a career 3-0 record and a 3.86 ERA with 19 strikeouts in 21 innings.
Junior (2022): Appeared in five games for the Spartans during the season, including two as a starter… Hit .125 (two-for-eight) with two RBI… Was one-for-one with two RBI against Roanoke on March 7… Received UAA Spring All-Academic Honors.
Sophomore (2021): Saw time as both a position player and on the mound for the Spartans during his sophomore campaign… Appeared in 18 total games, including 16 as a starter (11 at first base and five in the outfield)… Batted .266 (17-of-64) with eight runs scored, five doubles, two triples, and 14 runs batted in… Slugged .406 with a .309 on-base percentage… Also stole one base on two attempts… Hit .375 (three-for-eight) against left-handed pitching and .333 (eight-for-24) with runners in scoring position… Registered three multiple-hit games and four multiple RBI efforts… Also appeared in three games out of the bullpen, notching an 11.57 ERA… Struck out three batters in 2.1 innings of work without walking an opponent… Was named the UAA Hitter of the Week after going five-for-10 with two RBIs, two doubles, and three runs scored during the Spartans’ season-opening doubleheader sweep over Hiram on March 13… Went three-for-three with a walk, a double, and an RBI against Wittenberg on April 3… Pitched scoreless innings against Oberlin on April 10 and Denison on April 18… Received UAA Spring All-Academic recognition.
First-Year (2020): Saw time both in the field and on the mound during the 2020 season… Made a pair of appearances out of the bullpen, recording a 1.80 earned run average and a .250 opponents’ batting average… Struck out three batters and walked just one over five innings of work… Held opposing hitters to a .167 average (one-for-six) with runners on base… Pitched a pair of scoreless innings against Roger Williams on March 12, striking out two batters and allowing just a pair of hits… Allowed one earned run in three innings of work in his collegiate debut on the mound against Roger Williams on March 9… Appeared in two games as a position player, including one as the team’s starting right fielder… Drove in a run with an RBI groundout against Roger Williams on March 8.
Personal: Was a four-year member of the Fox Chapel Area High School baseball team, serving as a co-captain during his senior year... Coached by Jim Hastings... Named to the All-Section First Team in 2019, and received All-Section Second Team and Pittsburgh Tribune-Review Athlete of the Week honors in 2018...
