Prior to CWRU

Was a three-year member of the Franklin Pierce High School baseball team, serving as a captain during his junior and senior seasons… Coached by Nick Aloisio… Earned all-state honors as a senior, all-area acclaim and a junior and senior, and was an all-league first team selection from his sophomore through senior seasons… Batted .414 with a .573 on-base percentage and a 1.237 OPS while pitching to a 1.48 ERA with 12.7 strikeouts per nine innings… Graduated summa cum laude… Also played basketball in high school.
