Senior (2017): Named to the All-PAC and All-UAA First Teams… Played in and started all 12 games, while serving as a team captain… Led the team with 88 tackles (39 solo), including 8.5 for a loss and one sack… Also recovered three fumbles (14th in Division III) and intercepted a pass… Named the UAA and the PAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 23, after recording 10 tackles (three solo, 1.5 for a loss) and returning a fumble 68 yards for a touchdown against Geneva… Earned weekly honors from both leagues again on November 13 after notching 16 tackles (eight solo, one for a loss) and a 21-yard interception return against Carnegie Mellon in the Spartans’ regular season finale… Finished his career with 185 tackles, six fumble recoveries and three interceptions over 32 games played.
Junior (2016): Named to the All-UAA First Team and an honorable mention to the All-PAC Team during his junior year… Started all 10 games… Led all Spartan players during the year with a career-high 76 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for a loss… Added an interception, a pass breakup and two fumble recoveries, including a key fumble recovery on the goal line to secure a Spartans’ win against Westminster… Registered a career-high 11 tackles in back-to-back games against Thiel and Geneva, leading all CWRU players in both games… Also had a 10 tackle performance during the Spartans’ season-finale against Carnegie Mellon... Will enter his senior season ranked 76th in school history with 97 career tackles.
Sophomore (2015): Played in nine games and made one start during his sophomore season… tallied 21 tackles, including 3.5 for a loss… added a fumble recovery and an interception during the campaign… had a season-high five tackles, including 1.5 for a loss, against St. Vincent on September 19th… also had five tackles against Bethany on October 3rd… recorded his first career interception in the season-finale against Carnegie Mellon.
Freshman (2014): Saw action in one game during the season, appearing in the team’s season-opener against Carnegie Mellon.
Personal: Earned three varsity letters at nearby Mentor High School…named to 2013 Division I All-Ohio First Team…also team Defensive MVP and first-team All-News Herald as a senior…graduated summa cum laude…AP Scholar…National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete…four-year academic letterwinner...son of Kevin and Wendi McMahon.
