2015: Named to the 2015 CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team and the Academic All-District Team… selected to the All-UAA First Team and as an honorable mention to the All-PAC team… played in all 10 of the Spartans games during his senior season… chosen as the PAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 5th after recording seven tackles, including two for a loss and a sack, forcing a fumble, intercepting one pass and breaking up for others… finished the year with 42 tackles, including four for a loss and two sacks… added a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, an interception and nine pass breakups during the year… had 13 tackles during the team’s season-finale at Carnegie Mellon on November 14th… earned UAA All-Academic honors and was named to the PAC Fall Academic Honor Roll… finished his career with 161 tackles and three interceptions.
2014: Named to the All-UAA Second Team…played in the team’s final nine games of the year, including the final eight in a starting role…received UAA All-Academic recognition…finished the year with 58 tackles (33 solo) and three pass breakups…had seven tackles and an interception against Thiel on September 27…recorded a season-best 11 tackles (six solo) against Washington & Jefferson on October 25.
2013: Played in all nine games with eight starts at safety…named to All-UAA Second Team and UAA All-Academic Team…registered 58 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and three pass break-ups…posted a career-best and team season-high 14 tackles at Frostburg State on September 21…grabbed first career interception in victory versus Marietta on September 7…picked up first career forced fumble and fumble recovery in win at Carnegie Mellon on November 16.
2012: Played in 10 games with one start at safety and significant time on special teams…recorded three tackles total and first career tackle for loss at Chicago on October 27.
Personal: Earned three varsity letters in football as well as two in basketball and track & field at nearby Brunswick High School…named first-team All-Ohio as a junior as well as first-team All-Inland District, first-team All-Northeast Ohio Conference and first-team All-Medina County…also selected Medina County Defensive Player of the Year after tying a school record with eight interceptions…repeated as first-team All-NOC and All-Medina County as a senior…NOC Scholar-Athlete Team Captain…served as a team captain in basketball with an All-NOC Honorable Mention nod and team Defensive MVP honors…four-time NOC Scholar-Athlete…son of Dan and Connie Suren.
