2012: Played in and started nine games at linebacker, missing one due to injury…served as a team captain…named to All-UAA First Team and OhioCollegeFootball.com Division III All-Ohio Second Team…ranked third on the team with 84 tackles, including 5.5 for loss…also recorded one forced fumble and one blocked kick…recorded a season-high 13 tackles versus Frostburg State on September 15…posted first career block on a punt to set up a return touchdown at Hiram on September 8…named UAA All-Academic for a third-straight season...also selected as CWRU's Philip K. "Nip" Heim Award winner.

2011: Played in and started nine games at inside linebacker, missing one due to injury…ranked third on the team with 66 tackles, including 4.5 tackles for loss, with one sack, two forced fumbles and one pass break-up…named All-UAA Honorable Mention…selected as UAA Defensive Player of the Week after recording 10 tackles, a sack and a key forced fumble in overtime at Wooster on October 22…recorded a career-high 15 tackles in Academic Bowl victory at Carnegie Mellon on November 12...earned UAA All-Academic honors.

2010: Played in all 10 games and earned UAA All-Academic honors…credited with 34 tackles (15 solo)…recorded first of two fumble recoveries and forced another on Heritage Night versus Denison on September 25…posted a season-high seven tackles versus Washington (Mo.) on November 6.

2009: Played in seven games as a freshman…recorded nine tackles (seven solo) and one sack.

Personal: Earned two varsity letters in football and three in wrestling at Lake Zurich Senior High School…named All-North Suburban Conference as well as team MVP and Defensive Player of the Year in 2008…academic all-conference selection in 2007 and 2008…member of the 2007 IHSA Class 7A State Championship team…North Suburban Conference Champion in wrestling in 2009…finished sixth in Illinois at 215 pounds in 2009…named the IWCOA Scholastic Wrestler of the Year in 2009 and received the Christopher D. Redding Memorial Scholarship…son of Steve and Pam Self.
