Twenty-three members of the Case Western Reserve University football team, the most among all NCAA programs, were named to the 2026 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society based on their academic and athletic achievements over their careers.
The NFF Hampshire Honor Society recognizes football players in their final year of eligibility with at least a 3.2 cumulative undergraduate grade point average who were starters or contributors during the 2025 season. A record 2,596 players from 365 schools qualified for membership in 2026, marking the largest class in the program's 20-year history. Since its inception, the initiative has honored 23,568 student-athletes.
In the 20-year history of the Honor Society, CWRU ranks ninth among Division III schools with 142 all-time Hampshire Honor Society honorees.
CWRU players recognized included wide receiver Alec Angello, linebacker Brady Bartusiak, running back Matthew Bittel, linebacker Henry Busch, wide receiver Brian Caldwell Jr., wide receiver Dylan Cave, defensive back Osi Chukwuocha, offensive lineman David Freedman, linebacker Daniel King, offensive lineman James Kline, running back Stefan Lopez, defensive back Luca Maravola, defensive back Cullen McDaniel, defensive back Mason Mehl, offensive lineman Zach Miller, offensive lineman Owen Myer, running back Caden Parlett, wide receiver Jensen Perkovich, defensive lineman Sean Reilly, offensive lineman Gus Salopek, linebacker Shane Schwartz, defensive lineman Joseph Swarm, and wide receiver TJ Yoder.
The Spartans finished the 2025 season with a 4-5-1 overall record, including a 4-4 mark in PAC contests.
