No. 14 Women’s Tennis Sweeps JCU on Senior Day

The 14th-ranked Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team swept crosstown rival John Carroll University 7-0 on Saturday evening at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club in Mayfield, Ohio.

The Spartans improved to 9-4 with the win, while the Blue Streaks dropped to 9-4 with the loss.

  • Prior to the match, the team celebrated Rose, Shah, Sivanesan, and Wang, its four graduating members, as part of Senior Day
  • CWRU improved to 5-0 since 2010 against John Carroll. This was the first matchup between the squads in seven years
  • Kassaie remained undefeated in 2026, improving to 6-0 in single play and 6-0 in doubles play this season
  • Wang won her 12th consecutive singles match, improving to 21-2 as a singles player and 12-1 in singles play in dual matches
  • Wong recorded her 10th singles win of the campaign
  • Sivanesan won her 15th career doubles match and improved to 4-0 in doubles matches during duals in her career
