The 18th-ranked Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team began its weekend at the Natalie Pitts Memorial Invitational with a 4-3 win over host and 25th-ranked Christopher Newport on Friday afternoon at the Eyre Courts in Newport News, Virginia.
The Spartans improved to 6-2 with the win, while the Captains dropped to 4-5.
