The 16th-ranked Case Western Reserve University softball team split a pair of games on Thursday at the Bartow Sports Complex in Bartow, Florida, as part of THE Spring Games, falling to 23rd-ranked Belhaven University 9-5 before responding with an 8-0 win over Kean University in six innings.
The Spartans moved to 10-2 with the split, while the Blazers improved to 12-6 and the Cougars dropped to 4-8.

- With a pair of runners in scoring position, senior infielder Elizabeth Berry laid down a bunt that plated a run
- Berry, trying to draw a throw, was out in a rundown between first and second that allowed the second runner to cross the plate

- Potts drove in the team's next run with her third consecutive hit, and second double in a row, plating first-year pitcher/outfielder Camryn Mclelland, who had doubled earlier in the second inning
- Misra retired the first 10 batters she faced before conceding a one-out single in the top of the fourth inning
- CWRU loaded the bases in the fifth inning and scored four times to open a six-run advantage
- First-year catcher Sophia Becker drove in a pair of runs with a double to make the score 4-0
- Mclelland followed with a two-run single, increasing the lead to six
- The Spartans kept the Cougars off the board in the following inning by throwing a runner out at home on a base hit
- Becker drove in another run when she was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the sixth inning, and the Spartans ended the game when Miller scored on a wild pitch for the eighth run of the contest
