Last Week's Recap

#14 Baseball (3-0)

• Swept a three-game season-opening home series from Oswego State last weekend
• Defeated the Lakers 12-7 and 7-1 on Friday afternoon and 10-3 on Saturday
• Junior two-way player Tyler Stillson had a team-high seven hits, including two doubles and a triple, while also earning a win on the mound with 10 strikeouts in five shutout innings

#5 Men's Tennis (2-1)

• Placed third at the ITA Division III National Men's Team Indoor Championship
• Defeated 11th-ranked Johns Hopkins 5-2 on Friday, lost to fourth-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps 5-2 on Saturday, and defeated top-ranked Denison 4-3 on Sunday
• Senior Rohan Bhatt won all three of his doubles matches in the third slot with senior Anmay Devaraj, while also going 2-1 at sixth singles 

#18 Women's Tennis (1-1)

• Split two matches at the Groundhog Palooza hosted by Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia
• Fell to the host and 19th-ranked Generals 5-2 on Saturday night before rebounding with a 4-0 victory over 25th-ranked Christopher Newport on Sunday morning
• Senior Katalina Wang won both of her matches at first singles, including the clincher against CNU, and split two first doubles matches with first-year Gabby Lee

Men's Basketball (1-1, 1-1 UAA)

• Fell to fifth-ranked Emory 101-93 on Friday night at home despite 34 points from senior forward Andrew Fox
• Defeated Rochester 110-98 on Sunday afternoon behind a historic day from graduate student guard Ethan Edwards
• Edwards set the program and conference records with 54 points with 12 three-pointers and 16 made baskets. He also surpassed 1,000 career points in the effort
• The 110 points are the tied for the fifth most in a game in program history and the most since a 110-104 win over Carnegie Mellon on March 1, 2025

Women's Basketball (1-1, 1-1 UAA)

• Lost 76-73 decision to Emory on Friday night at Horsburgh Gymnasium
• Responded with a 63-50 victory over Rochester on Sunday afternoon
• Senior guard Emily Plachta led the squad with 16 points in the victory over the Yellowjackets, surpassing 1,000 career points in the effort. Her 1,003 career points are currently the 15th most in program history 

Wrestling

• Completed the regular season by sending a contingent of wrestlers to the Futures Invite in Adrian, Michigan, on Saturday
• Sophomore Alexander Greene Barrios won the 133-pound bracket with a 3-0 record
• Four Spartans placed in the top three at the event

Men's and Women's Track and Field

• Prepared for the UAA Championships by hosting the Ed Finnigan Invitational on Friday night at the Veale Center
• Junior Matthew Bezuneh set the school record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.92 seconds
• 12 athletes won events for CWRU at the meet

#10/#22 Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving

• Hosted by Spartan Invitational on Friday and Saturday as a final chance for swimmers to record qualifying times for the NCAA Championships
• CWRU set six program records over the two-day meet in the men's 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Free Relay, and 400 Free Relay, and women's 100 Free and 400 Free Relay
