CWRU Swimming and Diving Teams Named Fall 2025 CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

The Case Western Reserve University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have earned the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honor for the fall 2025 semester, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The awards are in recognition of teams that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the Fall 2025 semester.

The men's team ranked 24th out of 134 Division III teams honored with a 3.62 team cumulative grade point average for the fall semester. The Spartans were 23rd among teams with at least 10 members and ranked sixth in the University Athletic Association.

The women's team ranked 53rd overall out of 157 Division III teams honored with a 3.63 cumulative fall GPA. The Spartans were 50th among teams with at least 12 members and had the fifth-best GPA among UAA members.

The CWRU swimming and diving full-time coaching staff includes Head Coach Doug Milliken, who has led both teams for 16 seasons, and Assistant Coach Matthew Schaeffer, now in his second season in Cleveland. The Spartans have earned CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors in every one of Milliken's 16 years leading the program.

In total, 709 teams from 414 colleges and universities across all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA, and junior and community colleges earned Scholar All-America Team honors.

The UAA was one of 10 conferences across the country and one of three in Division III to have all its men's and women's teams to be named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team honors.

The CWRU swimming and diving teams will travel to Gambier, Ohio, on Friday for a dual meet with nationally ranked Kenyon College starting at 4 p.m. The Spartans will then host Oberlin College the following day at 1 p.m. with a special Senior Day ceremony prior to the meet.
