Filips led one final scoring drive, going 71 yards on seven plays and finding junior wide receiver Alec Angello with a 10-yard touchdown pass to pull back within 10 points, 30-20, with 58 seconds to play. CWRU attempted an onside kick but it was recovered by Grove City and the Wolverines were able to run out the clock for the win.
