Iagnemma Earns All-America Honors at NCAA Championship

Case Western Reserve University junior Lauren Iagnemma earned All-America honors for the second straight season after placing 36th at the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championship at the Laverne Gibson Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Indiana on Saturday morning.

Iagnemma placed 36th out of 290 total runners at the meet to claim All-America acclaim. She crossed the finish line of the 6K race in a time of 21:43.6, her second-fastest time of the season.

Iagnemma, who placed 18th at last year's meet, joins former Spartans Justine Jeroski (2008, 2009, 2010), and Esther Erb (2006, 2007) as the only runners in program history to claim multiple All-America honors over a career. This marked the 10th time that a CWRU women's runner has earned All-America honors at the NCAA Championship meet. A total of six Spartan runners - Iagnemma, Jeroski, Elaine Simpson (2009), Britta Kumley (2008), Erb, and Stephanie Nothelle (2006) - have claimed All-America honors over the program's history.

Wilmington (Ohio) sophomore Faith Duncan was the individual champion, winning the race with a time of 20:16.5. MIT won the team title with a score of 128, followed by Chicago (138) and Williams (155).

This was the 21st consecutive year that the Spartans have been represented by at least one individual at the NCAA Championship. Saturday's meet concludes the 2024 season for the Spartans.
