The Case Western Reserve University men's basketball team will take part in the D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas in late December, accepting an invitation to participate in the prestigious tournament for the first time in program history.

"We are excited to be participating in one of the premier Division III tournaments in the country and to have the opportunity to test ourselves against two strong opponents before we start University Athletic Association play," said CWRU Head Coach Todd McGuinness.

The tournament will be held at South Point Arena on Las Vegas Boulevard. CWRU is scheduled to play a pair of games, facing Oswego State (which reached the Elite Eight of the NCAA Championship in 2023) on Thursday, December 28 at 8:00 p.m. PT, and Clark on Friday, December 29 at 6:00 p.m. PT.

The Spartans are coming back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the Sweet 16 in 2022 and the Round of 32 in 2023. Last year, CWRU set a program record for wins, going 22-4 overall, and won the UAA Championship for the first time in program history. The Spartans finished the year ranked 15th in the D3hoops.com Top-25.
