Junior mid-distance runner Joe Jaster earned a top-15 finish in the 3000-meter run on Saturday on the final day of the 2022 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at the JDL Fast Track.
Jaster, seeded eighth in the race, finished 13th with a time of 8:27.79. He qualified for the meet with a school-record time of 8:16.52 in the event.
It was Jaster's first NCAA Championships appearance.
Jaster, senior mid-distance runner Logan Singer (17th, one-mile run), junior distance runner Jack Begley (15th, 5000-meter run), and junior distance runner Cecelia Zielke (16th, 5000-meter run) all competed at the Championships for the Spartans.
With the indoor season now complete, Case Western Reserve will start its outdoor track and field season on Friday and Saturday at the Washington & Lee Track Carnival in Lexington, Virginia.
