Box Score The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to 24th-ranked Brandeis University in a University Athletic Association contest on Sunday afternoon.
The Spartans fell to 4-6-0 with the loss, including a 0-1-0 mark in UAA games. Brandeis improved to 8-1-1 for the campaign with a 1-0-0 UAA mark.
The Judges got on the board late in the first half on Sunday, when Becca Buchman scored her first goal of the season via an assist from Sasha Sunday in the 30th minute of the game.
Brandeis struck for two more goals in 66th and 67th minutes play via a goal from Samantha Schwartz and an unassisted goal by Emily Thiem. Schwartz's goal was her sixth of the season and Thiem's was her second.
The Judges outshot the Spartans and held the advantage in corner kicks. Sophomore midfielder Ana Petropoulos led CWRU with two total shots.
Case Western Reserve will be back in action on Tuesday, October 3rd, when the Spartans play host to the College of Wooster in a non-conference matchup at DiSanto Field. The game is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.
