Men's Soccer Battles to 0-0 Tie with Brandeis University

The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie in double overtime on the road versus Brandeis University on Saturday, October 8th at Gordon Field.

The Spartans move to 4-6-2 for the season and 0-1-1 in the UAA, while Brandeis is now 4-3-3 overall and 0-0-2 in the UAA.

Junior Calvin Boyle made four saves in goal for the Spartans, while Brandeis' Ben Woodhouse was credited with four stops in net for the Judges. CWRU outshot Brandeis 14-4 for the match, but the Judges held a 7-3 advantage in corners for the day.

Junior midfielder Jacob Phillips recorded a game-high four shots, while senior midfielder Jacob Grindel and junior forward Michael Balog each tallied three shots.

The Spartans are back in action on Friday, October 14th at 7:30 p.m. in Atlanta. The team will then travel to New York on Sunday, October 16th to play against the University of Rochester (N.Y.) at 1:30 p.m.
