Played tight the entire way, the game was decided by a 12-4 run by the Judges (9-8, 3-3 UAA) that brought the visitors back from a two-point deficit with 4:32 left to play.

Reynolds' career-high 17 points included six of her team's 16 free throws. Freshman guard Jessica McCoy (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) added 11 points, five rebounds and a season-best three blocked shots.

Both defenses played tight early on, but the Spartans led 9-2 following a McCoy layup at the 14:22 mark of the first half. Brandeis then responded with a 9-0 run and led 11-9 following a Kasey Dean jumper at 9:40. Overall, the Spartans went scoreless for 7:34 during the Judges' run. More defensive play ensued before the Spartans got a combined six free throws in the final minutes from junior guard Chelsea Steen (Newark, Ohio/Newark) and senior forward Lauren Elkin (Reisterstown, Md./Carver Center for Arts & Tech.) en route to building a 24-21 halftime edge.

In the second, the Judges opened on an 11-7 run to lead 32-31 as Niki Laskaris hit a trey at 14:21. Four lead changes and three ties followed before the Spartans went ahead for the final time as junior point guard Amanda Germer (Malvern, Pa./Great Valley) hit a three-pointer to make the score 49-47 with 4:32 remaining. The Judges then scored 12 of the next 16 to lead 59-51 when Samantha Mancinelli hit a layup with 58 seconds left on the clock.

For the game, Brandeis was led by Laskaris with 15 points, and Paris Hodges with 14 points and nine rebounds.
