Box Score CHICAGO – The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team concluded the road portion of the 2013 schedule with a 1-0 loss versus University Athletic Association foe University of Chicago on Sunday afternoon at Stagg Field.
With the loss, the Spartans fall to 7-7-1 overall and 0-3-1 in the conference, while Chicago improves its overall record to 9-3-2 and 2-1-1 in the UAA.
The Maroons took the lead at the 11:28 mark when Micaela Harms headed a Natalia Jovanovic corner kick past junior goalkeeper Abbey Smith (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) for her sixth goal of the season.
Smith finished the game with seven saves.
Overall, Chicago dominated in shots (16-9), shots on goal (7-2) and corner kicks (13-4).
Case returns home to take on non-conference opponent, Denison University, on Saturday, October 26 at DiSanto Field.
