Spartan Women Conclude 2012 Non-Conference Slate Saturday Versus Kenyon; Watch It Live

CLEVELAND – The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team (7-4-3 overall) steps out of University Athletic Association play for the final time this fall when it takes on Kenyon College (6-7-1) on Saturday, October 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Case Field.

The Spartans begin a three-match homestand including Saturday's contest with the Ladies. Case fell in a pair of road Association matches last week at No. 1 nationally-ranked Emory University (Ga.) and No. 24 Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.). Sophomore forward Jessie Sabers leads the team with seven goals to go along with one assist for 15 points, while junior forward Leah Levey has eight points on three goals and two assists. Senior tri-captain and midfielder Deena Levey has a goal and a team-high four helpers, while junior forward Rachel Bourque and senior defender Maeve Goede each have five points (2 goals, 1 assist). In net, freshman Megan Romelfanger (4-2-2) has racked up 36 saves, an .800 save percentage, a 0.95 goals against average and three shutouts in 850 minutes played. Sophomore Cameron Casson (3-2-1) has 13 saves this season.

Kenyon enters this afternoon's match sporting a 2-2 record over its last four matches. In the stretch of four-straight conference opponents, the Ladies posted a pair of shutout victories versus Oberlin College (3-0) and Denison University (2-0) before dropping their last two contests to Allegheny College (Pa.) and Ohio Wesleyan University. Offensively, Kenyon is led by sophomore forward Becca Romaine with 12 of the team's 23 goals this fall. Senior midfielder Courtney Hague has six points via three scores, while freshman Olivia Lloyd has five points on a pair of scores and an assist. In between the pipes, junior goalkeeper Lauren Wolfe (5-7-1) has started 13 matches with 53 saves, a 1.13 goals against average and a .779 save percentage, while sophomore Anna Walley (1-0) has played 90 minutes this fall with a pair of saves.
