Box Score DELAWARE, Ohio –The Case Western Reserve University men's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie in double overtime on the road versus Ohio Wesleyan University on Wednesday, September 29 at Roy Rike Field.
Case moves to 4-2-3 for the season while OWU is now 7-1-1 overall.
Junior Ben Yabrow (Marietta, GA/George Walton Comprehensive) made a season-high nine saves in goal for the Spartans, while OWU's Paul Hendricks was credited with four stops in the net for the Battling Bishops. Case was outshot 26-7 for the match, and OWU also held a 12-2 advantage in corner kicks on the night.
Sophomore midfielder Kostis Theoharides (Brookline, MA/Brookline) was the lone Spartan to record multiple shots with two.
The Spartans will now open University Athletic Association play on the road Saturday, October 2 at Brandeis University (MA) in Boston, Massachusetts.
