Box Score WESTERVILLE, Ohio –The Case Western Reserve University women's soccer team fell by a score of 2-0 on the road to undefeated and fifth-ranked (NSCAA) Otterbein University on Sunday, September 19 at Clements Field.
Case falls to 4-2-1 on the season and will return to action at home on Tuesday, Sept. 21 versus Baldwin-Wallace College at 7:30 p.m. at Case Field. Otterbein improves to 5-0-1.
The game was a defensive struggle for the majority of the match until Otterbein broke through with a goal in the 53rd minute and added a second score at the 82 minute mark to seal the win.
Case had a total of nine shots in the second half, but failed to score a goal for just the second time this season. Freshman Leah Levey (Columbus, OH/Bexley Academy) recorded a team-high three shots.
Sophomore goalkeeper Chelsea Lasky (Fairview, PA/Villa Maria Academy) was credited with five saves for the Spartans in her first loss of the season (2-1-1 overall).
