Sudeck Track

Case Western Reserve University's Coach Bill Sudeck Track is the home venue for the Spartan track and field teams. The 2,400-seat, state-of-the-art facility and surrounding residence hall complex opened in August 2005. The stadium boasts many distinguishing features, such as its spacious locker rooms, updated press box, field surface, and surrounding track. The entire complex was built at a total cost of $126 million.

The stadium boasts a modern and spacious press box, including a large president’s suite that is used to host distinguished guests and sponsors or to hold meetings. The press box has wireless high-speed internet access and digital television throughout.

Locker rooms are located adjacent to the field in the lower level of House Seven of the dormitory complex along with a modern training room facility, named after Dr. Tom McLaughlin in 2007, which includes both full-size warm and cold whirlpools.

The eight-lane track is named after legendary cross country, track, and basketball coach Bill Sudeck and was dedicated in 2008. Along with hosting varsity track and field events, the track is used for intramural activities, special events, and the general recreation of the campus community.
