Shah qualified for the singles draw at the ITA Cup with his standout performance at the ITA Central Regional Championships last weekend. Shah, who entered the tournament as the ninth seed, went 5-1 in singles matches during the weekend to reach the championship match, where he fell to 10th-seeded Ethan Green of Denison in three sets, 2-6, 6-1, 7-5, to finish as the runner-up. Highlights from his weekend included victories over three seeded players, including a 1-6, 6-2, 6-1 win over teammate Anmay Devaraj (seeded 17th) in the round of 16, a 6-4, 6-1 win over Denison's Jacob Patterson (seeded fifth) in the quarterfinals, and a 6-3, 6-3 victory against Chicago's Michael Choi (seeded 14th) in the semifinals. Shah also teamed with Devaraj as the third-seeded duo in the doubles draw and reached the round of 16 with an 8-0 win over Franklin's Lucas Denford and Dustin Garrison in the round of 64 and an 8-2 victory over DePauw's Scott Anderson and Roee Sela in the round of 32.
