McCloskey went 3-0 for the 18th-ranked Spartans in a pair of wins over the weekend at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club in Mayfield, Ohio. McCloskey won her lone singles match of the weekend, defeating Mary Washington's Addison Felts, ranked seventh in the Atlantic South Region, 6-0, 6-4 at first singles on Saturday. In that same match, a 6-1 win for CWRU, McCloskey paired with junior Katalina Wang to defeat Felts and Natalie Kim, who are ranked fifth in the region, 6-1 at first doubles. In a 7-0 sweep of Otterbein on Sunday, McCloskey and Wang bested Erin Storrer and Lillia Walter 6-1 at first doubles. McCloskey, who is ranked 38th nationally and fifth in the Central Region for singles play and second in the region for doubles play, improved to 14-5 this season in singles matches and 17-3 in doubles matches during the 2024-25 campaign. The Spartans improved to 10-3 with the two wins.
