2020-21: Team did not compete due to pandemic

2019-20: Finished his first-year as a Spartan with a 3-6 record, competing exclusively at 141 pounds...Claimed his first career victories at the CWRU Mini Invitational on November 16, pinning Ohio Wesleyan's Zach Smith in 1:10 and then pinning Defiance's Logan Hawn in 4:43...Also earned a 15-2 major decision win over Wilmington's Adrian Salomone at the BW Invite.

Personal: Earned four varsity letters in wrestling at Highland High School...served as team co-captain during his senior year...was coached by Alan Fried...received Academic honors and Magna Cum Laude from 2017-19...member of the National Honor Society in 2019...also competed in football and rugby during high school...born July 7...son of Gayle and Mark Staron.
