Graduated from Geneva High School, where she did not compete in track and field...Played volleyball and softball, serving as captain of both teams her junior and senior years...Named to Class B Fifth Team All-State for softball in 2022, Section V All Tournament Team for softball in 2019, and First Team All League for softball and volleyball in 2021...Honored as Section V Class B1 Player of the Year for softball in 2022...Named Scholar Athlete all four seasons (2019-22)...Member of the American Chemical Society and National Honors Society...Graduated fourth in her class and as an AP Scholar...Awarded 2019 Ontario County Youth Bureau Award...Also played basketball and ran one season of cross country.

Born July 3...Daughter of Nancey Velez-Anderson and Milton Martinez...Her mother, Nancey, played volleyball for SUNY Potsdam from 1987-88.
