Rocco Mitolo re-joined the Case Western Reserve coaching staff as the Assistant Coach for Throwing Events prior to the start of the 2022-23 season after previsouly working with the track and field teams from 2015-2020.

During the 2021-22 season, he served as an assistant coach at Oberlin College.

Mitolo comes to CWRU following a standout career at John Carroll University, where he was an NCAA Division III Outdoor All-American in the outdoor shot put in 2014.  During his time with the Blue Streaks, he broke school records in the shot put (16.86m), hammer throw (54.84m), and weight throw (17.92m), while earning four All-OAC honors and the OAC Championship in the 2015 Shot Put.

Mitolo graduated from John Carroll in May 2015 with his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Chemistry.  He was named a USTFCCCA Academic All-American in 2014.
