Juan Perez joined the CWRU men's and women's track and field coaching staffs as a volunteer assistant prior to the 2024-25 season. Perez was a member of the CWRU track and field team for six years, setting school records in the indoor 55-meter dash, 60-meter dash, and 4x200-meter relay and outdoor 4x100-meter relay. He was named the Most Outstanding Runner at the 2024 UAA Outdoor Championships, claimed two UAA titles, and earned five All-UAA honors in his career.
