Drew Linebarger joined the CWRU coaching staff prior to the 2022-23 season, focusing on the long jump and triple jump.

Prior to joining Case Western Reserve, Linebarger spent six years coaching long jump at Woodridge High School in Peninsula, Ohio. He attended Kent State University and was a member of the track and field team for four years, starting as a walk-on before earning an athletic scholarship. Linebarger was a member of the first Golden Flashes’ men’s track and team to win a Mid-American Conference Indoor Championship. He set personal best marks of 6.98 meters in the long jump and 14.88 meters in the triple jump. A true student-athlete, Linebarger earned the MAC Presidential Award for his academic performance and made the Dean’s List.

Linebarger graduated from Kent State with a Bachelor’s in Applied Engineering and later acquired his Master's in Renewable Energy and Sustainability Systems from Penn State University. Currently, he is the Data Analyst for The Recycling Partnership - a mission driven non-governmental organization solving for a circular economy.

Linebarger and his partner Claire currently reside in Cleveland Heights with their wonderfully unusual dog Daisy.
