Was a four-year member of the Oakwood High School track and field team, serving as captain his senior year...Coached by Mark Stivers and Daniel Zelik...Recorded personal-best times of 16.25 seconds in the 110m Hurdles and 41.91 seconds in the 300m Hurdles...Won 110m Hurdles conference championship in 2023...Finished as 300m Hurdles conference runner-up in 2023...Received Coaches Award in 2023...Graduated with Summa Cum Laude with Academic Honors Diploma...Named AP Scholar with Distinction...Received National African American Recognition Award in...Member of National Honor Society from 2022-24...Also played soccer in high school, helping the team win two district championships and two league championships...Named Athlete of the Season for soccer and received Coaches Award in 2023.

Born May 23...Son of Daniel and Allison Zelik...His father, Daniel, ran track for Iowa State from 2000-05.
