Wade Heerboth

Wade Heerboth joined the Case Western Reserve University men’s tennis team staff during the 2016 season as an assistant coach.

Heerboth has been instrumental in the team's growth into a national powerhouse, earning the ITA National Assistant Coach of the Year Award following the Spartans' National Championship in 2023. In Heerboth's nine seasons with the team the Spartans have gone 199-52 (.793), reached the NCAA Tournament five times, and finished among the top-two teams in Division III on three occasions. 

Heerboth, who earned All-America honors for both his singles and doubles play, joins the Spartans after an accomplished collegiate playing career at Kenyon College.  He was a four-year member of the men’s tennis team at Kenyon, serving as a team captain during his junior and senior seasons, and finishing his career with the second-most singles wins (83-20) and doubles wins (89-30) in the program’s history.  A two-time NCAC Player of the Year, he helped his team to the finals of the NCAA Division III Championship during his freshman year, and was part of a team that won the ITA Indoor National Championship and was ranked first in Division III during his sophomore year.

Heerboth graduated from Kenyon College in the spring of 2015 with a major in Economics.  He earned Dean’s List recognition and was a Scholar Athlete during his time with the team.
