Prior to CWRU

Was a four-year member of the Saint Ignatius High School swimming and diving team, serving as the squad's captain during his senior year...was coached by Eric Dennis...named Scholastic All-American as a junior...is the Northwest Ohio District Record Holder in 200 Medley Relay (Breast Leg)...received the US President's Academic Excellence Pin Award (recognized for being top 5% of class)...also competed for the Cleveland Swim Institute, where he was coached by Eric Dennis.
