Recorded season-best times in the 50 Free (22.38), 100 Fly (51.90), and 200 Fly (1:53.56) at the 2023 Midwest Invite...Swam season-best times in the 200 Free (1:45.45) and 500 Free (4:51.43) at the 2022 Magnus Cup Invite.

Prior to CWRU

Was a four-year member of the Evanston Township High School swimming and diving team, serving as captain his senior year...Coached by Kevin Auger...Swam top times of 51.60 seconds (100 Fly), 1:56.23 (school record 200 Medley Relay)...Helped team win Sectional Championship in 2022...Named 2021-22 Swimming and Diving Scholarship Award Winner...Also swam for YWCA Flying Fish, where he was coached by Pete Caragher.

Personal

Born August 17...Son of Heather Hancock and Cam Balzer...His sister, Clio Hancock, swam at Emory University and was a 10-time All-American and three-time UAA Champion.
