Personal: Was a four-year member of the Verona Area High School swimming and diving team, serving as the squad's captain during his senior year...was coached by Bill Wuerger...graduated Summa Cum Laude...also competed for the Badger Aquatics Club, where he was coached by Derek Sheer and Michael Drive...born July 19...son of Ann and Don Wellnitz.
