Prior to CWRU

Was a four-year member of the cross country and track & field teams at Chaparral High School, serving as a co-captain his senior year... Coached by Robert Reniewicki, Terrence Tillet, and Jonathan Lofgren... Helped his team win the district championship for cross country each year from 2020-23... Was the district champion in the 800m run in 2023... Named his team's Most Valuable Performer for Distance during the 2023 track & field season... Earned an Oustanding Senior Award during the 2022 season... Recorded a top 5K time of 17:19 for cross country and top marks of 9:30.42 in the 3,200-meter run (a school record), 4:29 in the 1,600-meter run, and 2:03 in the 800-meter run during the track season... Earned a Seal of Biliteracy for Spanish.
