2024 (First-year)
Emerged as one of the team’s top competitors during his first season of collegiate competition… Was the top first-year finisher at the UAA Championship and claimed UAA Rookie of the Year honors… Placed 23rd overall and second among Spartans at the event… Crossed the finish line in a season-best 8K time of 25:12.6… Became the first Spartan since Jack Begley in 2019 and just the third runner in program history (along with Begley and Aaron Johnston-Peck in 2004) to earn UAA Rookie of the Year honors for men's cross country… Was the team’s third finisher at the NCAA Great Lakes Region Championship, placing 30th overall to earn all-region acclaim… Competed in six total races during the season, placing among the team’s top-five finishers in each… Was the team’s second finisher at the Mike Woods Invitational, placing 43rd overall… View his complete list of times and finishes from the season.
Prior to CWRU
Was a two-year member of the cross country team and a four-year member of the track & Field team at the Avon Old Farms School, serving as a captain of each team… Coached by Beth Larson… Awarded the Jennings Cup as his school’s best overall athlete following his junior year… Named his team’s Most Valuable Performer as a sophomore, junior, and senior… Placed first at both the Founders League Cross Country Championship and the New England Cross Country All-Star Meet in 2022… Finished fourth in the 1,500m run at the 2023 New England Preparatory School Athletic Council Championship Meet… Recorded a career-best cross country time of 16:22 in the 5K… Set school records with times of 4:01.62 in the 1,500m run and 1:57.79 in the 800m run… Also ran a career-best 400m dash time of 51.50… Named his high school’s valedictorian… Graduated magna cum laude… Named an AP Scholar with Honors and Received the Harvard Book Award as a junior… Also played hockey in high school.
