Personal: Earned three varsity letters in football as well as four in rugby and one in wrestling at Buckeye Valley High School…2012 football team captain and a three-time captain in rugby…named second-team All-Ohio on the gridiron as a senior as well as first-team all-district and first-team All-Mid Ohio Athletic Conference…2013 National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete…three-time rugby team Player of the Year…member of the National Honor Society…National Merit Commended Scholar…4.0 grade point average through high school…son of Bob and Gina Grote.
