The 18th-ranked Case Western Reserve University women's tennis team opened its spring season with a 5-2 win over 38th-ranked Hope College on Friday afternoon at the Mayfield Village Racquet Club in Mayfield, Ohio.
The Spartans started the season with a record of 1-0, while the Flying Dutch fell to 0-2.
