Senior goalkeeper Bradley Winter set a Case Western Reserve University men's soccer record with his 17th career shutout as the team defeated Allegheny College 5-0 on Sunday afternoon at DiSanto Field in Cleveland.
The Spartans improved to 5-0-1 this season with all five wins as shutouts. The Gators fell to 1-4-2.

- Winter faced four total shots and recorded one save in the record-breaking contest. He has five shutouts this season, logged four last season, and matched a program record with eight during his sophomore season
- Five different Spartans scored for CWRU: sophomore Amir Awais, senior Camden Larson, junior Ohta Kamiya, first-year Micah Rossen, and junior Sean Wilson
- Awais led the team with four shots, including three on goal
First Half
- Awais opened the scoring in the 20th minute, recording his second goal of the season
- He found an opening in the middle of the box and received a pass from Rossen, who was covered by three Gator defenders
- Awais, in a one-on-one situation, fired with his left foot past the goalkeeper to put the Spartans on the board
- Rossen was credited with the first assist of his career
- Larson doubled the team's lead in the 28th minute, scoring on an improbable shot from about 20 yards away
- It marked his first goal this season and the fourth of his career
- The Gators were held without a shot on goal in the second half, recording just two shots in the first 45 minutes
Second Half
- Kamiya added to the lead two minutes into the second period, converting from the spot for the second time this season
- The goal was the third in 2025 for Kamiya and the fifth of his career
- Just two minutes later, Rossen scored his first career goal, increasing the lead to four
- Dribbling inside the box, Rossen briefly lost possession, before firing a shot into the top right corner of the goal
- Wilson completed the scoring in the 58th minute with an assist from sophomore Ashton McNally
- McNally sent a pass to an unmarked Wilson, about 25 yards from the goal. On his first touch, Wilson kicked the ball toward the near post, and it tipped off the goalkeeper's gloves and into the back of the net
- It was the first goal for Wilson this season and the fifth of his career. McNally was credited with his first collegiate assist
- Winter made his first save of the day in the 83rd minute, deflecting a shot off a free kick away from the goal
Spartan Notes
- The match wrapped up a stretch of four games in nine days for the Spartans during which the team went 3-0-1
- CWRU improved to 4-5-1 against Allegheny since 1994 with all four wins coming in the last four three meetings between the schools
- Case Western Reserve held a 17-4 advantage in shots and 12-1 edge in shots on goal
- First-year Milo Stehling made his collegiate debut in the game, logging 23 minutes
- Case Western Reserve last started a season with a 5-0-1 record in 2023
- The Spartans had not scored five goals in a game since a 6-1 victory over Westminster on September 21, 2021
